NYSCAA was created in 1987 to provide New York State Community Action Agencies with information, professional development, and technical assistance to enhance the capacity of agencies to serve as effective, responsive community resources.

Our mission: The New York State Community Action Association (NYSCAA) strengthens the capacity of the Community Action network to address the causes and conditions of poverty.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The CEO will manage NYSCAA’s operations and enhance the capacity of member organizations through training, resources, and partnerships. They will develop communication systems to educate elected officials, the public, and partners about poverty issues and solutions provided by New York’s Community Action Agencies. The CEO will create state and national alliances that strengthen NYSCAA’s mission and secure resources to support the network. This position reports to the Board of Directors
