Health Volunteers Overseas

HVO is dedicated to improving the availability and quality of health care in resource-scarce countries through the training and education of health professionals. Highly skilled health professionals serve as volunteers providing both on-the-ground and virtual training.  Pre-pandemic, HVO typically sent over 450 short-term volunteers to 90+ project sites in 26 countries. HVO’s recently expanded virtual education program has facilitated over 5900 hours of virtual support and training from 2019-2020.
