Description
Asylum Seeker Resource Navigator
Inspiritus
Under the supervision of the Asylum Seeker Welcome Program Coordinator, the Asylum Seeker Resource Navigator will support individuals and families who have recently arrived in the US with temporary housing, food support, and other basic needs. They will respond to initial requests for assistance, assess participant eligibility, and build referral and community partnerships across multiple domains to support participants. Proficiency in Spanish or another relevant language preferred.

- Full time, hourly position

- Reports to Asylum Seeker Welcome Program Coordinator
- Located in Atlanta
- Mostly Virtual/Remote with some on-site services required, local travel (25-50%)
- Monday through Friday; 8:30AM 5:00PM
- Hourly pay range $18.26 – $20.19/hour
Responsibilities:
- Respond to requests for assistance and determine client eligibility for services
- Conduct intake and basic needs assessment, ensuring documentation requirements set by the funder are met
- Support families and individuals with meeting basic needs
- Build relationships and identify community partners to refer clients for appropriate services where needed
- Ensure all eligibility criteria are met and all guidelines set forth by the funder are followed
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of services
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Direct work experience in advocacy, immigrant services, or social services preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- High proficiency in Spanish or other relevant language (French, Dari, Wolof, others to be determined)
- Experience working in a culturally diverse environment and high level of cultural humility
- Experience with human services programs and a comprehensive understanding of addressing holistic needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and a broad range of volunteers, clients, stakeholders, and referral partners
- Must own a personal multi-passenger vehicle, hold a valid state-issued Driver’s license, have a good driving record, and have appropriate personal auto insurance
