danceTactics is seeking committed, visionary leaders to join its Board of Directors during an exciting period of organizational growth. As a contemporary dance and cultural organization, danceTactics creates original performance, education, and community engagement programs that foster artistic excellence, belonging, and meaningful social connection through the arts.
With expanding national partnerships and international touring, including recent performances in Mexico City, danceTactics is strengthening its board to support the organization's long-term sustainability, strategic growth, fundraising, and community impact.
About the Role
Board Members serve as ambassadors and strategic advisors, providing governance and oversight while helping advance the organization's mission and financial health. This is a volunteer leadership position for individuals who are passionate about the arts and interested in making a meaningful contribution to an innovative nonprofit organization.
Responsibilities
Board Members are expected to:
- Provide strategic leadership and governance.
- Participate in quarterly board meetings and committee work.
- Support fundraising, donor engagement, and resource development.
- Serve as an ambassador for danceTactics within professional and community networks.
- Assist in building partnerships and expanding organizational visibility.
- Contribute professional expertise to strengthen organizational capacity.
- Make or help secure an annual financial contribution in support of the organization's mission.

Time Commitment
- Quarterly Board of Directors meetings
- Committee participation as appropriate
- Participation in fundraising and special events
- Ongoing advocacy and ambassadorial support throughout the year
