We re looking for people who are passionate about helping improve healthcare to join us. We are seeking a Clinical Systems Analyst who will monitor our genetic testing pipeline using custom software tools to ensure samples move through efficiently. Successful candidates will take initiative to automate and improve workflows and troubleshoot the production process through diligent analysis. An important part of this job is to be able to clearly communicate technical findings to non-technical teammates.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor delayed samples
  • Analyze turnaround time metrics to improve general efficiency
  • Develop lab information system (LIS, LIMS) requirements for new assays and lab sites
  • Coordinate assay retirements
  • Define metrics that measure process efficiency and policy effectiveness
  • Build policies, documents, and software, and conduct analysis, to support the responsibilities above
  • Workflow development
  • Writing software scripts for analysis and automation

What You Bring

  • Flexible schedule, including being able to commit to periodic weekend support
  • 3+ years experience working in a molecular biology context and troubleshooting lab or software pipelines and a BS Degree, or 6 years total related experience.
  • Working knowledge of molecular genetics and experience with next generation sequencing data, preferably in a production setting
  • 2+ yrs experience manipulating data and troubleshooting applications in UNIX-based environments
  • Written scripts to analyze data or automate processes (e.g. Python, R)
  • Superior oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical findings to non-technical teammates
  • Excellent ability to work with people across different teams and specializations
  • Preferred: Hands-on molecular biology wet lab experience
  • Preferred: Background in life and physical sciences
  • Preferred: Software development and database querying experience (e.g. Flask with PostgreSQL)

This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
