REMOTE OPPORTUNITY

POSITION SUMMARY: The Data and Analytics Manager will provide the necessary data and analytical expertise to drive data- and mission-driven decision making at Kids In Need Foundation (KINF). This role will play a key part in building a knowledge base by identifying and fostering resources around social impact to tie-out KINF program metrics. This role will collaborate with cross functional teams internally and externally by leveraging resources to communicate and gain credibility in the education space, to continue driving the mission forward.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively seek to understand business needs for data and translate into managed and optimized processes for data intake, validation, reporting, and visualization to inform decision making and action by various departments and levels within the organization

  • Build, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards that provide insights and can be easily interpreted and applied by business leaders in support of key decisions and organizational strategic priorities

  • Manage dashboard projects from inception to delivery, including engagement with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

  • Create and maintain processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of data, reporting, and analysis. Mindset of continuous process improvement and how to continue to leverage metrics to best assist the organization

  • Proactively partners with departments to identify opportunities for analysis of business functions and key operations

  • Establish methods to study, measure and report how KINF’s mission drives and impacts teachers, students and schools longitudinally on an ongoing basis utilizing an established metrics/reporting cadence

  • Collect, analyze and disseminate impact data obtained from various sources, including internal program data and feedback collected from stakeholders, for use in KINF’s annual Impact Report

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on an ongoing basis to establish and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform (Salesforce) reporting procedures, identify and reconcile potential gaps in data within the CRM platform, and discuss any ad hoc data/reporting initiatives and strategies

  • Collaborate with the Volunteer Program Manager to establish and maintain reporting surrounding volunteer engagement utilizing identified key metrics

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the collection and reporting of National Network of Resource Centers’ self-reported capacity data

  • Support Development Team’s data needs for grant applications and reporting.

  • Provide succinct and accurate reports and briefs, including tables/graphs/charts to communicate results, findings, etc

  • Use quantitative and qualitative methods to develop understanding of target population and definable user segments

  • Track and understand donor, recipient and education trends to enable foundation to be a thought leader in the education sector and share findings/results with respective parties

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • ​4​+ years of experience in insights​,​ strateg​y,​ research​ and analytics

  • Analytical mindset, with an ability to bring together complex data and qualitative insights into clear and meaningful recommendations

  • Experience defining and using quantitative and qualitative insights tools and approaches including data analysis, observation and synthesis

  • Comfortable starting with a blank slate and defining an approach and expected deliverables

  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

  • Ability to partner collaboratively on cross-functional teams with integrity and professionalism and foster close relationships with internal and external teams

  • Strong analytical, project management and problem solving skills

  • Ability to think creatively and juggle multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously on a continuous basi​s​

  • Demonstrated ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases that can be clearly and easily communicated

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and succinctly on the phone​, ​in person​ and through virtual platforms ​​

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Ability to navigate and use CRM tools ( Salesforce is our CRM)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skill

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States

  • Applicants must be Covid-19 vaccinated and be able to provide proof of completed status.

  • Nonprofit experience a plus/preferred but not required

     

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

● Required to sit for long periods of time

● Extensive use of computer, keyboard and mouse

● Can lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
