The Ranch is a dynamic, thriving agency dedicated to providing exceptional recreational opportunities to the residents in Tiburon and Belvedere. The highly dedicated and talented staff is led by a hands-on, team-oriented leader. The director works closely with community leaders to create a comprehensive, exciting program for the entire community that spans from tennis, adult sports leagues and adult enrichment to pre K through young adult curriculum, summer camps, and community-wide events. Ten full time staff along with the part-time staff, create a fun, positive energy that draws people in. The culture is hard-working but dedicated to maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
The Ranch is a public agency, created by a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA), and the director reports to the Board of Directors. Belvedere and Tiburon are located in Northern California, on the SF Bay and are among the most picturesque communities in California. Population 12,000.
The Executive Director reports directly to the Board of directors and is responsible for the management of the entire agency. The director works with the board in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and priorities for the divisions and related programs within the agency.
The Director will prepare and administer the annual budget, including operational expenditures, revenue projections and make adjustments as necessary to ensure financial stability. The director will assume full management responsibility for the agency recreational services including recreation classes/activities, facilities, summer camps, city-wide and agency special events. The director oversees HR including staff hiring, training, evaluation, team development and management of benefits. Additional responsibilities include oversite of the agency’s Illness and Injury Prevention Program and risk management policies and procedure for employees and program participants.
