Lead a $1B fundraising campaign and expand innovative strategies to transform the future of youth development.
In partnership with Lindauer, Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) is seeking a highly accomplished Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead the organization's transformational fundraising efforts and $1B campaign, driving its mission to prepare young people for life.
As a member of the executive leadership team, the CDO will provide strategic direction to Scouting America's Office of Development and oversee a team of more than 70 professionals working across principal and major gifts, corporate engagement, annual giving, and grant management.
In this role, you will:
• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
• Strengthen Scouting America's donor base, expand corporate giving, and refine overall fundraising practices.
• Implement innovative approaches to engage donors, manage large-scale campaigns, and secure planned gifts.
This role requires a proven leader with exceptional fundraising acumen, including experience managing campaigns of $500 million or more, and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and teams. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, a bachelor's degree (master's preferred), and proficiency in philanthropic regulations.
