Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and driven Government Grants Writer to join our Development Team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful grant writing, editing, and management across diverse funding sources. This role involves writing compelling proposals, managing the grant process from identification to submission, and ensuring successful grant reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential funding opportunities from local, state, federal, and private sources.
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals and reports.
- Manage grant reporting and ensure timely submissions.
- Collaborate with program staff to articulate project goals effectively.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with current and prospective funders.
- Ensure compliance with grant regulations and requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- At least 3 years of experience in grant writing, editing, and management, with a proven success record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Knowledge of local and federal government funding sources.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong ability to convey complex information succinctly and compellingly.
- Commitment to understanding and supporting the QCH mission.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary range: $65,000 – $75,000, commensurate with experience.
