Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert for all compliance and regulatory activities
- Lead the development and execution of all compliance, privacy, security and regulatory strategies
- Develop and implement organizational key results to quantitatively measure the effectiveness of the compliance, regulatory and privacy programs at SA
- Advise business teams to ensure that SA’s operations fully comply with applicable regulations
- Train and educate employees on compliance and regulatory matters
- Maintain strong industry knowledge of regulations, changes and trends that impact the business
- Work closely with employees to maintain open and effective communications
- Excellent presentation skills, demonstrated ability to present ideas with clarity, confidence and poise.
- Strong time management skills for working on multiple projects. Ability to work on assignments of varying difficulty and complexity, while exercising independent judgment.
Qualifications:
Highly qualified candidates will share SA’s commitment to its mission and will embody the organization’s core values bringing a broad range of skills and experience including, but not limited to:
- 7+ years of compliance experience in a corporate or educational setting.
- Deep expertise in overseeing regulatory compliance programs and conducting firm-wide risk assessments.
- Strong business judgment, influence, leadership, and integrity.
- A high level of moral and ethical principles that will promote the value of a compliance culture throughout the organization.
- Breadth of experience and proficiency in drafting compliance procedures and maintaining a robust compliance program.
- Excellent ability to anticipate and mitigate risk.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize information, exercise sound judgment, make decisions, and render advice in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize workflow based on the company’s priorities and strategic goals.
- Ability to function as a team player, collaborating with colleagues and business leaders to further the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Ability to interact diplomatically and persuasively with employees at all levels.
