In order to enhance this visibility, all employees are offered one complimentary meal on site during their shift at the Village.Leadership Training Program for SupervisorsCasual Dress Code for most positionsMother-Baby Friendly WorkplaceThis position develops and maintains a strong working relationship with housing providers to educate them about the benefits of offering affordable housing available to homeless clients.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Assists clients with their housing options ranging from the application process to moving into their new dwelling.Identifies, contacts and negotiates with landlords to identify new and existing housing opportunities and to build a strong inventory of available housing options for clients.Communicates and advocates on the behalf of clients to landlords to support them in obtaining, maintaining and addressing housing placement issues.Educates case management teams and clients on the housing market and trends and support teams in coming up with plans to support their clients in obtaining housing.Develops and maintains a database of permanent housing information including vacancies, eligibility requirements, rents, waiting list lengths, locations, sizes, etc. for each property.Job RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED.At least 6 months of experience in sales or the housing market.Basic user of MS Office.Be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience; possesses a valid California driver’s license; and has no Class 1 or more than two Class 2 violations within the past 36 months.Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary.
