With our combined resources CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable and innovating how and where healing can happen both inside our hospitals and out in the community.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:Provides continuous observation of monitored EKG patterns of patients on telemetry and reports significant information to appropriate nursing personnel; Functions within a designated hospital area to assist nursing personnel in the close observation in the monitoring of patients.Position Responsibilities:Continuous observation of monitored EKG patterns and pulse oximetry as ordered.Sets up, calibrates and Maintains settings and alarms on telemetry module.Obtains rhythm strip at beginning of shift, on admission and whenever changes occur.Labels strip with patient identification, time, lead monitored, PR interval, ST interval, QRS intervalTrouble shoots telemetry equipment, Ensures monitors are functioning properly; ensure telemetrysupplies are readily available.Accounts for all telemetry transmitters, Verifies daily telemetry chargesIdentifies changes in rate, rhythm, or pattern, notifying RN of these changes.
