Are you a news junkie? Do you consume the best media that you can find as much as you can? If so, does the knowledge from the various media sources, (plus some TV, podcasts, youtube, etc.) give you a head start on doing important research? Have you ever had a job, for example on the Hill, where the knowledge you had gathered from news and history was valued by your colleagues? And/or where you used and/or developed advanced research skills, and used these skills to advance political goals?
We are a non-profit, progressive organization that seeks to change this country. We have a significant presence on the Hill. We need to hire researchers. Pay will be competitive and will increase with skills, knowledge, and experience.
This is not an entry-level position. Several years of proven experience in research roles and/or on the Hill (preferred) are required. An understanding of economics is also an advantage.
