Description/Comment: The Public Relations Assistant is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the New York-based Public Relations team, providing critical administrative PR support across the company’s eyewear, retail and lens brand portfolio. This role assists with the creation of PR presentations and recaps, implementation of PR strategies, tracking and analyzing those strategies’ results, organic and paid influencer programs and product seedings, paid editorial/media partnerships, PR events, product shipments and other logistics coordination, invoice submission and budget management. This role is based in New York City and reports to the Americas PR Manager, with dotted lines to the other members of the PR team whom the role secondarily supports. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support in planning, execution and recapping of PR and influencer activities Coordinate communication between internal team and external partners Assist in developing and implementing brand-specific PR plans and activities in local markets Ensure accuracy of press and social results tracking, utilizing DMR and Companion platforms PR asset development, when necessary (if not provided by global), including press releases, media alerts, talking points and presentations. Assist in achieving excellent results through editorial press, social/influencer programs and paid editorial/media opportunities Liaise with external agency partners in North America, Mexico and Brazil to equip them with all necessary PR assets (press releases, photos/videos, samples/seeding products), PR/influencer strategies, shipping documents as well as collect results/recaps from those agencies/markets and create comprehensive recaps for the global team Build the PR team’s broadcast/print/digital media and influencer network Support on invoice submission, budget management and finance process BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Media, Communications or Business Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Previous in-house or agency PR experience in the fashion/accessories arena Experience with Influencer Marketing is a plus High degree of flexibility, adaptability, optimism, attention to detail and solution-oriented mindset Outstanding logistics, project-management and follow-up skills Existing knowledge of and desire to learn more about the PR, media and influencer landscapes Experience working with DMR, Companion or other press/social coverage tracking platforms Excellent PowerPoint/presentation skills Nesco Resource and affiliates (Lehigh G.I.T Inc, and Callos Resource, LLC) is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics with respect to employment opportunities.
