That potential has continued to grow, with assets now exceeding $50 million. Through building permanent endowments, addressing local needs through strategic grantmaking and scholarships and providing leadership on emerging community issues, Unity Foundation is able to strengthen La Porte County now and forever.
The role of President & CEO at Unity Foundation of La Porte County provides a highly rare opportunity to lead a well-respected organization with a long history of community leadership, partnership and impact. The new President & CEO will be able to shape the future direction of the foundation during a pivotal time of transition, building upon the strong foundation laid by the retiring President.
The President & CEO reports to the Chairperson of the Board and Board of Directors. The President & CEO is responsible for overseeing all functions of the Unity Foundation in its mission to strengthen La Porte County now and forever. Primary responsibilities include building assets, strengthening Unity itself, and strengthening the communities of La Porte County and the region for vibrancy, resilience and equality. The President & CEO works strategically and collaboratively with staff, volunteers and others to achieve the goals and exemplify the values of the Unity Foundation.
The Unity Foundation of La Porte County seeks an executive leader with strong passion for the mission of ensuring a thriving La Porte County. In addition, the foundation seeks an executive with strong fiduciary and growth mindset, unquestionable integrity, familiarity with the processes of grantmaking, and a desire to invite others into partnership.
The salary range for this position annually is between $155,000 and $175,000 and will be commensurable with experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability and a 401(k) plan. Unity Foundation of La Porte County observes eleven paid holidays each year and offers Paid Time Off and other forms of Leave.
