Position Summary

The heart of the DCVC (Dallas College Venture Club) entrepreneur development center initiative is its community. This is why we are looking for a heart-centered leader who is versed in entrepreneurship and developing the minds and relationships of a healthy ecosystem. The actions, services, and overall character of the Community Coworking Manager (“CCM”) is the foundation and catalyst for maintaining an environment that attracts members and centers them in a positive experience that helps them reach their full potential. This position requires an individual who is versed in organizational development, office management and administration, and is great at building and maintaining impactful relationships. We support a progressive environment and encourage each member of our team to grow in skillset, character, and creativity. A thoughtful, solution oriented, genuine, responsible, and resourceful individual with a positive mindset and creative ideas is ideal for this role.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Task management and delegation to ensure efficacy of goal completion.

  • Self-starter who is detail oriented, with the ability to think independently to create solutions and perform at a high level.

  • Proficient in administrative computer software such as CRM, Microsoft Products, Social Media platforms, and apps.

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in business project management and business operations

  • Comfortable facilitating an adult learning environment both in-person and online.

  • Knowledge in business educational development, entrepreneurship.

  • Be a positive, supportive influence and team member with Dallas College’s student and community members.

  • Kind, patient, but stern and orderly when engaging with patrons of the space.

  • Excellent time-management and task prioritization and delegation.

Physical Requirements

Normal physical job functions are performed within a standard office environment. Reasonable accommodation may be made for individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field

  • BA in Business Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • Familiar with technology and running multiple platforms & database systems.
  • Significant related experience may substitute for education.
  • Bilingual or multi-language skills preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Executive level marketing and/or journalism experience
  • Media and media development experience
  • Experienced in co-working operations and office management.
  • Relationship and sales experience, specifically in the form of memberships, such as a club or recreational center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations
  • Maintains overall coworking space and manages coworking space operations.
  • Maintain daily coworking operations and functional amenities, including but not limited to coffee service, software check-in systems, room and resource reservations, security systems, onsite display and monitor systems, communications, internet and computer access, podcast facilitation, and preparations for group gatherings.
  • Maintain coworking best practices, rules, and community guidelines.
  • Maintain billing and member status updates.
  • Ability to manage and schedule 1-2 part-time staff.
  • Member Management
  • On-boarding and off-boarding member maintenance
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally while maintaining strong customer service and sales skills including the ability to remain flexible and calm in high pressure or continually changing situations to ensure a cohesive community.
  • Ensure customer ease of use utilizing coworking platform. Ensuring all records are collected and processed accordingly.
  • Regularly communicate and manage customer expectations.
  • Support member use of facility and resources
  • Administration
  • Oversees all reporting aspects for team members and achieves clear communication on policy and procedures, performance reviews, weekly team member meetings and overall process changes.
  • General data collection and management and monthly reporting
  • Office Management, some billing and account reconciliation

  • Ensure optimal member satisfaction.
  • Maintain partner relationships and development.
  • Support ways to facilitate community events and initiatives.
  • Lead VIP tours and special requests and lead-generated and awareness related events
  • Promptly de-escalate and resolve member and customer concerns.
  • Seek opportunities to engage members to discover and discuss members objectives, i.e., using member service request as an opportunity to learn more about member, members business and any other needs members may have.
  • Exercise discretion when vetting prospective members, including protecting the interests of the environment.
  • Monthly engagement reporting.
