Assistant Education Director

The Wade Institute for Science Education (formerly MITS) is a not-for profit corporation whose mission is to promote the teaching of participatory, inquiry-based science, mathematics and technology/engineering education through collaborative partnership with museums and other non-profit organizations. The Wade Institute provides Professional Development programs and resources for K-12 formal and informal educators.

The Assistant Education Director works closely with the Director of Education to coordinate and maintain programs, provide programmatic and administrative support for programs, and assist with developing new initiatives. Qualifications: Masters Degree in education, science or related field; program management experience; formal/informal teaching experience using inquiry-based, hands-on methods. Victim Services Training Coordinator

This is a full-time position that helps coordinate the development, implementation, and administration of the Training Program of COVA. We are looking for someone who is technologically savvy, as they will be responsible for coordinating remote trainings and meetings (i.e., webinars, live stream, etc.). Our ideal candidate will meet all of our requirements, and also have prior experience providing services to crime victims and knowledge of the history of the victim services field. The Training Coordinator will occasionally travel to deliver trainings to our statewide membership. This position will assist with many of the administrative duties of the Training Program at COVA such as developing promotional materials, assisting with website and social media content regarding trainings, managing training registration, event logistics, and other administrative duties. This position is supervised by the Training Director and Executive Director of COVA. Please note that even though COVA is a statewide membership organization, this position is based out of our office in Denver, CO.

Director Of Admissions & Placement

Position Summary and Reporting: Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Admissions & Placement is a key member of the organization and serves on the Leadership Team. S/he has both an internal and externally facing role and is responsible for operational success for the Admissions and Placement department. The Director must have admission experience, knowledge of independent day and boarding schools, managerial skills, an engaging personality, and a desire to help people. The Director must be a creative and innovative thinker, excited and motivated by working with underserved youth and their families, able to prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. S/he must also be able exercise good judgement, think strategically and critically and be capable of developing relationships that will further the mission of Oliver Scholars.

Scholar Guidance Dean

We provide crucial support for our Scholars so they can realize their full potential and ultimately give back to the city, the nation, and the world.
Position Summary and Reporting: Reporting to the Director of Scholar Success, the Scholar Guidance Dean will provide personal, academic, and college guidance to Scholars ranging in age from sixth grade through first-year of college, and their families. In addition to serving as the primary point of contact for 60-70 of our Scholars and their families, the Dean will be responsible for managing the institutional relationships between Oliver Scholars and the academic and college counselors at the partner schools at which her/his students are enrolled. S/he will be proactive, detail oriented, organized, and capable of strategic thinking. S/he must also have a strong sense of purpose and passion for creating access to education for underserved students and be aspirational with regards to their own professional development.

Scholar Activities Dean

Position Summary and Reporting: Reporting to the Director of Scholar Success, the Scholar Activities Dean will coordinate the details for all of our programmatic events throughout the year. In collaboration with the Director of Scholar Success, the Dean will plan and execute both major and minor events to support Scholars’ academic and social-emotional development, managing multiple concurrent timelines and budgets. S/he will be extremely well-organized and detail oriented and have a strong sense of purpose and passion for creating access to education for underserved students.
