About Us
United Way St. Croix and Red Cedar Valleys (UW Valleys) fights for the health, education, and financial stability of everyone in Western Wisconsin. Serving Burnett, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix counties, UWValleys provides targeted grants to area nonprofits, while also providing diaper bank services to people in Dunn, Pierce, and Polk counties, and offering vital services such as 211 and the John Coughlin Hope Fund, which connect people to resources during times of crisis.

Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Development to oversee all aspects of UW Valleys' fundraising, including annual giving, planned giving, and select special events, with a strong focus on workplace campaigns. In collaboration with the Executive Director and the board’s fundraising and marketing committees, this individual will build partnerships and engagement strategies to advance UW Valleys' mission and impact. Some marketing responsibilities are also included, supporting broader outreach and visibility efforts across UW Valleys' six-county region.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in annual giving, planned giving, and philanthropy
  • Strong fundraising and event coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in non-profit or community development sectors a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Finance, Nonprofit Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
