About Help Now! Advocacy
Help Now! Advocacy is a non-profit organization that provides nationally-unique crisis resolution services at no charge to those we serve.  Individuals and families benefitting from our assistance over the past 21 years now number in the tens of thousands.  We resolve a myriad of crises—recovery of scammed funds (~$300,000 to date), evictions, utility shut-offs, identity theft, debt resolution, customer service issues, procuring critically-needed goods or services at no cost, cutting through governmental “red tape,” and many others that truly stretch the imagination.  Thousands of times over we have rescued the lives of our country’s most vulnerable citizens from going into freefall, or worse.   Two important factors distinguish our work from that of other non-profits:  First, the breadth of matters on which we are capable of providing assistance is essentially unlimited.  Second, and equally important, we provide help now, not later.  There no steps or pre-qualifiers required to receive our assistance—only an honest statement of the facts that have led to the present crisis.  Consequently, we are able to resolve most crises very promptly—in a matter of hours or days and, in some instances, immediately through a phone call placed following intake.
Position Overview
The Executive Director (ED) will lead Help Now! to our goal of achieving a planned gradual, and financially sustainable, geographic expansion of our services across the country, exponentially increasing the number of individuals and families benefitting from our services.  Building on over two decades of impact, including thousands of successful crisis interventions, the ED will guide the organization in extending its unique, no-cost advocacy model beyond its roots in southern Oregon to reach individuals and families in all geographic areas of the country.
