Description
Under the supervision of the Chief of Staff, the Human Resources Manager ensures that HR programs and practices are documented, completed with accuracy on a timely basis, comply with state and federal labor laws, ACLU SoCal policies and procedures, and the collective bargaining agreement. The Human Resources Manager assists with the execution of a wide range of sensitive and confidential matters while ensuring a high level of customer service in support of ACLU SoCal’s mission and strategic initiatives. The Human Resources Manager performs HR functions including:

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or related field. Four years’ experience in leading HR systems will be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. HR designation such as SHRM preferred.
- At least seven years of Human Resources experience leading Human Resources systems and recruitment.
- Prior non-profit and/or union experience preferred.
- Exceptional time management and organization.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to meet organizational needs and goals.
- Ability to keep information confidential.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency in Asana or other project/task management system is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.
- Passionate about civil liberties and civil rights.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is $92,600 – $101,275 annually based on number of years of experience.
