Parent Coordinator

Under the direct supervision of the Program Administrator, the Parent Coordinator will educate and engage parents, as well as serve as a liaison between the school and families throughout six counties in Southern California.
The Parent Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to collaborate with School on Wheels’ staff, schools, and community stakeholders to coordinate and facilitate parental involvement activities that support the educational wellbeing of students enrolled in our program. The Parent Coordinator will also work closely with our Literacy Leader and Program Team to develop meaningful strategies for parent engagement outside of school fostering a love of learning.

Student Support Coordinator (2 Regional Positions)

These full-time positions are responsible for the tender love and care of all things relating to SOW students. Working as a team member, this includes student outreach and recruitment, working with parents and students to strengthen relationships with volunteers and School on Wheels, conducting pre- and post-assessments and measuring outcomes, working with schools, shelters, community groups, and other partners.

Two Regions:

South Los Angeles, will require work from our Los Angeles office, and knowledge of and commitment to the South LA community.

East LA, San Gabriel Valley and the I.E. Working from the LA office or your home.

VP of Programs

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the executive assistant is responsible for assisting the ED on multiple organizational levels, including scheduling, coordinating and organizing. The executive assistant role requires an individual who understands and is passionate about the mission and vision of the organization and exemplifies DPN core value. The executive assistant will have the primary responsibility to act as the ED’s gatekeeper and escalate relevant information to the ED as needed. The successful candidate will help to maintain communication across teams and perform all duties and tasks as assigned/requested.

Position is remote, but will have to occasionally travel to DPN work areas.
