Summary
Description
Family Promise is the leading national nonprofit addressing the crisis of family homelessness. Founded in 1988, our federated network of nearly 175 local Affiliates works in communities across the country to prevent homelessness, provide emergency shelter, stabilize families, and support lasting housing independence. Together, we have served more than one million individuals nationwide.
We are entering a pivotal chapter of growth, alignment, and increased impact — and we are seeking a Director of Affiliate Network who is ready to lead at scale. This Director will help us achieve our north star of meeting the unmet need for prevention and shelter in communities where Family Promise operates.
This is not a maintenance role. It is a senior leadership position for a proven change leader who can inspire trust, navigate complexity, and drive excellence across a diverse national network.
The Opportunity
The Director of Affiliate Network is a key enterprise leader responsible for the performance, alignment, and growth of the Family Promise Affiliate network. Reporting to the Chief Network and Program Officer, this role leads a multidisciplinary Affiliate Services team — including Regional Directors and support staff — and works across the national office to translate strategy into execution with and through Affiliates.
You will operate at the intersection of strategy, relationships, and results — setting direction, building systems, driving change, and holding leaders accountable while bringing people with you. In this role, you will bring a growth mindset to ensure consistent execution across the network. You will help shape how national strategy comes to life through high-level decisions that impact Affiliate performance, growth, and long-term sustainability.
Success in this role requires executive presence, change management within a federated nonprofit model, and the ability to lead leaders through change with clarity, confidence, and empathy.
