The National Blood Clot Alliance (stoptheclot.org) seeks a full-time Development Director to lead the organization’s fundraising needs.  Reporting to the Volunteer President, the ideal candidate will have a proven, strong background in non-profit donation strategies.  The candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years of fundraising experience, preferably in the patient advocacy, non-profit, healthcare space.  Additional degrees and certificates will be beneficial.  This is a 100% remote position.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Development Director will be responsible for planning and implementing a strategic fundraising plan for FY25.
Build Major Gift Program as defined by the FY25 Development Plan.
Responsibilities will include growing the existing donor verticals: private, corporate, and public funding. 
Maintain relationships with existing donors.
Develop fundraising campaigns for Blood Clot Awareness Month, End of Year Giving, and other specific campaigns during the year such as the signature 100,000 challenge, NYC Marathon and October 5k.
Interface with the Events team to incorporate fundraising strategies.
Knowledge of and utilization of social media to enhance giving opportunities.
Responsible for writing grants and submitting RFP’s.
Ensure CRM is optimized for contact tracking, lead generation and reporting.
Develop donor correspondence and fundraising materials, including annual reports, impact reports and newsletters.
