Sponsorship Specialist (Full-Time Position)
Children Incorporated

Job Summary: The Sponsorship Specialist serves as a liaison between Children
Incorporated and its external stakeholders and is involved in all aspects of sponsorship
recruitment and retention. The Specialist ensures that the sponsorship process is efficient
and timely and that the needs of sponsors and donors are being met. This position reports
to the Sponsorship Director.

Functions:
• Key Responsibility: Entering and processing correspondence from our affiliated
sites pertaining to the children enrolled in our program. Such reports would include
enrollment forms, progress reports, child photos, letters from the children and other
assorted documents.
• Key member of our team to answer and address calls from contributors in a
professional and courteous manner. Will need to provide excellent customer service
through frequent calls and email correspondence to sponsors and donors.
• Directs to the Sponsorship Director any and all sensitive donor issues that may require
extra care and attention.
• Supports the Sponsorship Director in all facets of the recruitment and retention of
sponsors and donors.
• Serves as a backup staff member for entering financial data into our database along with
scanning all checks received by sponsors and donors.

Required Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant experience preferred but not
required.
Proficiency in Spanish is required.  Proficiency in Portuguese preferred but not required. (Note: If able to
speak and write fluently either or both of these languages, a financial incentive
will be discussed during the interview process!)
 Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office software required.
 Ability to prioritize work to ensure a successful and timely delivery.
 High level of comfort in providing customer service to our contributors by
telephone and through email correspondence.
 Essential to this position is the ability to work in a team environment, sharing task
responsibilities with others while maintaining a high level of personal
accountability.

Work Environment:
A. If hired, first 3 months of being employed: Monday through Friday working in the
main office.
B. After 3 months of employment: Hybrid work week available.
(1 workday a week from home and 1 75% in office and 25% workday from home
on a 2nd day of the week)
C. Climate-controlled office.
