About the Role

Location: Hybrid in Waukesha, WI
The Strategic Partnership Manager drives organizational growth by identifying and qualifying new leads. This critical role manages the early development pipeline through strategic research and targeted outreach, ultimately ensuring further cultivation to meet fundraising goals.
Primary Responsibilities
- With direction from the Director of Development, manage the design and implementation of the fundraising team’s prospecting pipeline, which includes potential corporate, academic, and grantmaking funders.
- Utilize data-driven methods to identify and prioritize high-potential prospects aligned with organizational goals.
- Execute strategic outreach and communication initiatives via email, phone, LinkedIn, industry events, and partner meetings to effectively convey the organization's mission and vision.
- Schedule exploratory meetings to deeply understand the prospect’s goals in order to pitch opportunities that align with their needs. Guide prospects through the development pipeline to meet ASGCT’s fundraising goals
- Qualify leads and provide comprehensive prospect profiles for efficient transition to Development Managers.
- Maintain accurate prospect data in the iMIS database, dashboards, and reports, and best practices in area of responsibilities.
- Manage the Corporate Advisory Roundtable and collaborate with the Board of Directors, CEO, and volunteers to identify new funding sources.
- Conduct non-profit foundation research and grant scouting to identify new grantors.
- Develop and maintain sales collateral (sponsorship decks, reports, etc.).
- Assist the Director of Development in individual giving campaigns or planned giving campaigns as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate field with 5+ years experience.
- Proven success in building prospect pipelines and securing partnerships, demonstrating a strong understanding of sales and development strategies.
- Proficiency in data-driven research and analysis, with the ability to identify and prioritize high-potential prospects.
- Strong lead qualification skills, including the ability to develop comprehensive prospect profiles for efficient handoff to development managers.
- Experience in managing corporate advisory roundtables and collaborating with boards, CEOs, and volunteers to identify funding sources is preferred.
- Experience developing and maintaining compelling sales materials (sponsorship decks, reports, etc.).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment while working independently with minimal oversight.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have successfully utilized various sales platforms with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Five or more years of experience in development or sales and lead generation, with a strong focus on prospect research, corporate partnerships, and pipeline development within a non-profit setting, preferably within a professional association.
- Ability to travel up to 6 weeks per year.

Salary
The annual salary for this role begins at $60,000.
