Description

World Animal Protection US, Executive Director

About World Animal Protection US

We're facing a global crisis. It's in our power to create a new world for animals. We believe change for animals changes our world. The change starts with us. We're World Animal Protection. We're here to end animal cruelty and suffering. Forever.

Evidence shows that animals are sentient, individual beings who feel pain, fear and joy. Yet every day, billions experience unbearable cruelty. Over the next 10 years we will overturn the global systems that cause untold suffering to animals.

We will elevate animal protection to become a priority issue of global importance. We will change attitudes and mindsets so that animals are no longer considered as mere commodities. We will show how animals, people and the planet are deeply connected and that the mistreatment of animals is inextricably linked to our own wellbeing.

By helping more people understand that animals have rights too, we can give them the voice they deserve and can fix the broken systems that cause their suffering. There is no organisation better placed to lead the way through this deepening crisis than World Animal Protection.

We are the global voice for animal welfare. We have more than 70 years' experience of driving change, and are respected across the world for our knowledge and expertise. We have the influence to be heard by the highest levels of government, and the local presence that galvanises widespread popular support. We collaborate with local communities, the private sector, civil society and governments to change animals' lives for the better. By working together, we can create a world where animals live free from cruelty and suffering. We know that putting animals first isn't just better for them, it's vital for us and for our shared planet.
