The Opportunity

The Vice President will develop and lead the execution of TNTP's overall strategy towards communication, marketing, media and engagements strategies, including connecting narratives from across the organization, sharing our impact, bolstering our sector leadership, and building the external momentum necessary to achieve outcomes for students. The Vice President will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align communication initiatives and stakeholder impact with the organization's goals and values.

The ideal candidate will be a creative and strategic leader with vision and insight. The key to success in this role will be working in a way to meet and advance the rapidly evolving conversation and landscape around education.

In addition to the leadership skills above, strong candidates will offer:

  • 10+ years of progressive communications leadership, including 7+ years in strategic roles with large-scale program management experience.
  • Expertise in social media, marketing, media, and digital communications, with a strong background in media relations strategy.
  • Proven leadership in brand development and reputation management for large organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of public relations, public policy, and reputation intersections.
  • Digital fluency and success in influencing stakeholders via earned, owned, and paid media.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities at all organizational levels.
  • Flexible and solutions-oriented, capable of adapting to ongoing projects to ensure success.
  • Skilled in managing and developing high-performing MarComms teams for organizational impact.

Compensation & Benefits

TNTP offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position with the potential for an annual performance-based bonus. The salary range for this position is $151,200- $226,800. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
