The Family Radio Development Manager (DM) is key in advancing the ministry’s mission by leading the Donor Relations department and building strategic donor engagement initiatives to include engagement, stewardship, planned giving, and events. The DM also cultivates community partnerships across key U.S. markets, all while upholding a strong commitment to serving Christ.

Job Specifications
Development Manager is a full-time position located in our Franklin, TN headquarters. Evenings and weekends may be required on a selective basis per event timing. Professional communication and demeanor are always required when communicating with potential and current donors. The DM will report to the Director of Communications. The DM will manage and mentor the Development Strategist and work with the larger Communication team to design, develop, and implement donor development strategies and report on outcomes.

Job Duties
The primary objective of the DM is to organize and administer donor strategies based on donors' philanthropic interests, passions, and values to ensure continued support for the ministry with expansion into new markets and digital initiatives.
Success for this role is to meet quarterly metrics of donations based on the yearly budget set forth by Family Radio. The DM will be essential to expanding reach and resources, community outreach and engagement, and cultivating relationships with current and potential donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and oversee donor portfolios, including ongoing engagement, stewardship, and cultivation of donors
  • Develop planned giving, including marketing and execution of wills and trusts.
  • Data management of the listener database, including consistent and accurate updates to timelines, gifts, and reports tracking stewardship and engagement activities
  • Help to identify prospective donors for the donor funnel through relationships, research, and analytics
  • Collaboration with other departments, including programming and engineering, to support the needs of the ministry, like capital investments and partner promotions
  • Event management, including planning and representing LMI/Family Radio at events to cultivate relationships
  • Create and submit reports for the leadership team that detail progress and effectiveness of campaigns, and assist with managing fundraising budgets
  • Adapt to changes and new responsibilities as the organization grows, supporting the Loam Media, Inc. mission, including collaboration with the LMI fundraising executive.

Job Skills

  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising (5+ years)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Understanding of CRM systems and reporting
  • Able to manage sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality
  • Data-driven decision maker
  • Event Management
  • On-air experience not necessary, but it is preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in fundraising, sales, or customer service roles
  • Prior work with donor databases or CRM systems, and able to produce data-driven measurements and report on the progress of goals
  • Proficiency in oral and written communications
  • Able to execute the ministry's fundraising strategies, campaigns, and capital development initiatives to support short- and long-term organizational revenue objectives
