Partners for HOME seeks qualified applicants to help oversee the coordination of bridge and permanent housing for homeless households. In this role, the Project Manager will support the efforts between Atlanta CoC-wide outreach, community response, encampment decommissioning, and the peer support specialist program.  

Project Manager will initially be responsible for two main projects with additional oversight to be added and or shifted depending on the project needs. Initial areas of focus are: 

  1.  Executing community response effort in coordination with the City of Atlanta partners, other community stakeholders, and peer support specialists to visit encampments and track households experiencing unsheltered homelessness into housing.
  2.  Collaborating with the community and homeless diversion providers to increase the use and success of diversion. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with crisis response and outreach teams to build By Name Lists (BNL) to ensure that those in encampments and unsheltered are accurately reflected in Coordinated Entry.  
  • Identify and advocate for solutions needed on an individual level for those experiencing unsheltered homelessness.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of outreach and navigation work to ensure those in interim housing are gathering documents needed for permanent housing.  
  • Serve as a lead project manager for coordinating outreach teams and shelter for planned encampment closures.
  • Develop workflows for encampment closures and bridge housing.  
  • Support coordination with diversion teams and increasing successful outcomes.  
  • Champion the use of diversion as an effective housing placement solution within the community. 
  • Oversee peer support specialists and monitor program delivery 
  • Develop training curriculums for outreach service providers.
  • Lead coordination efforts between the City of Atlanta, and all partners to effectively and compassionately complete site visits to encampments.  

Operational duties:  

  • Lead outreach and navigation teams to ensure coordination and collaboration with the SPM of Unsheltered Homelessness.  
  • Facilitate check ins with outreach teams to ensure project goals are being met.  
  • Monitor outreach project data to identify gaps and propose solutions.
  • Track data to report on outreach and encampment outcomes.  
  • Operationalize best practices with encampment site visits 
  • Update program models for outreach work in the Atlanta CoC. 
  • Prepare daily report outs on unsheltered population numbers and progress toward housing goals in collaboration with SPM of Unsheltered Homelessness.  
  • Utilize the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to monitor anticipated needs and make projections.
  • Work closely with Coordinated Entry project manager to ensure appropriate documentation provided, confirm unit availability as needed and identify bottlenecks to obtaining housing.
  • Assist with identifying prioritized individuals based on CoC prioritization policies.  
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our Continuum Partners, partnering with them to ensure a transparent system is in place.  
  • Support activities for housing efforts including committees and work groups.
  • Facilitate case conferencing and support activities to move individuals into housing.  
  • Partner with agencies receiving related funding outreach resources to further alignment with the CoC.  
  • Ensure cross disciplinary teamwork with other verticals.
  • Participate and provide coverage and support to other vertical lines as needed. 
  • Represents Partners for HOME in community meetings, committees and work groups as needed.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Individuals who have lived experience with homelessness strongly encouraged to apply 
  • High energy and a passion for the CoC’s mission and goals  
  • Previous experience working with the homeless population or housing preferable. 
  • Skilled in Excel and have experience working in HMIS. 
  • Proficiency in Power BI or other data management tools is a plus. 
  • Familiar with homelessness outreach, diversion, CoC and or encampment outreach 
  • Strong initiative and curiosity. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple discipline 
  • Experience leading work groups and trainings. 
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills 
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills 
  • Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, diverse, results-oriented environment, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. 
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders. 
  • Professional, precise, and persuasive writing and editing skills. 
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to perceive and understand people’s motivations. 
  • Highly industrious with a strong work ethic; a sense of urgency/impatience for action. 
  • Integrity and humility that encourages and inspire constituents, strong sense of judgment.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
