As the third member of the individual giving team, reporting to the Senior Director, the Senior Associate, Individual Giving, is a new position that will assist the Individual Giving team with prospect identification and qualification activities that help to build a pipeline of potential gifts, and to manage the proposal, gift acknowledgement, and reporting processes. Other responsibilities include working with the team to uncover information about current and prospective donors and supporting stewardship activities. Over time, the Senior Associate will grow to build and manage a portfolio of 25-50 individual prospects with the capacity for five-figure gifts to help build a sustainable funding stream for the organization.

 

What You'll Do

You'll support Individual Giving by:

  • Actively engage in prospect research to identify and develop a larger pool of prospective donors; qualify new prospects with the potential to become major donors.
  • Ensure the integrity of donor records in the database to allow for accurate and effective reporting on fundraising activity and revenue projections.
  • Manage Gift Acknowledgement and Gift Thank You processes, ensuring that recorded donor data and gift designations are accurate, current, and complete.
  • Partner with the individual giving team to develop and implement donor cultivation and stewardship plans, including Echoing Green updates, calls, events, and site visits
  • Play a measurable role in the development of donor proposals. Support the review and submission process of proposals and impact reports for Individual Donors, where necessary.
  • Support the Senior Director of Individual Giving in preparing them, executive leadership, and Board members for cultivation visits, briefings, and solicitations of high-level donors and prospects.
  • Support full development team operations by participating in monthly gift reconciliations, preparing gift reminders, and acknowledgments, including support to individual and institutional verticals.
  • Act as a liaison between finance and development, developing skills to support their overall professional development in reporting and reconciliation.
  • In time, grow to manage a portfolio of 25 or more individual prospects by cultivating and stewarding individual donor relationships.
  • Serve as a representative of Echoing Green at relevant external events.

This position will also require the employee to work from our office in New York City 2 days/week.
