Description

ZRG Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with the People's Health Clinic in the search for a Vice President of Development and External Relations.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Development & External Relations will lead the People's Health Clinic's efforts to build a sustainable and thriving culture of philanthropy while ensuring that the story and impact of the clinic are communicated clearly, authentically, and powerfully to donors, partners, and the broader community. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that moves the organization toward a relationship-based model of philanthropy, with a particular focus on individual giving, major gifts, grants, and long-term donor partnerships. A key objective of this role is to double philanthropic revenue over the next five years, positioning the clinic for expanded impact and long-term sustainability.
In addition to fundraising leadership, this role will guide the clinic's external communications with donors and stakeholders, ensuring that the clinic's impact is conveyed through compelling storytelling and thoughtful impact reporting. This role represents an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of philanthropy at the People's Health Clinic. By strengthening donor relationships, building a sustainable development infrastructure, and elevating the clinic's story and impact in the community, the Vice President will play a critical role in ensuring that the clinic can continue providing essential healthcare services to those who need them most.
Founded in 1999 by a group of Park City residents who saw neighbors going without care, the People's Health Clinic (PHC) began as a mobile clinic operating out of a single van. In 2009, in partnership with Summit County and Intermountain Health, they moved into their permanent home in Round Valley. Since then, they've expanded from that single van into a full clinic delivering care across 17 medical disciplines. The need that drove their founding has only grown and so has the community that makes their work possible.
At the People's Health Clinic, the people they serve help shape how PHC serves them. Their patients, team members, and community partners, many of whom share the same lived experiences, are active participants in designing the programs and decisions that affect their care. They actively oppose discrimination in all forms and work to build a clinic where everyone feels valued, supported, and respected. Health inequities are not accidental; they are the result of systems that have long failed the communities they serve. Their programs are built to close those gaps.
The People's Health Clinic is a volunteer-driven, community supported non-profit clinic providing high quality, no cost healthcare to uninsured residents of Summit and Wasatch Counties in Utah. They are passionate about the service they provide and express their mission in three short but powerful words "Here, We Care."
At least eight years of experience is required for this position. The People's Health Clinic will consider candidates with a broad range of backgrounds. If you are excited about this role and feel that you can contribute to PHC, but your experience does not exactly align with every qualification listed above, we encourage you to apply. All applications must be accompanied by a cover letter and résumé. Cover letters should be responsive to the mission of the People's Health Clinic and the responsibilities and qualifications specified in the position prospectus.
This is a hybrid role based in the greater Park City or Salt Lake City area. While some day-to-day work can be performed from home, the Vice President of Development and External Relations must live within the region to support frequent in-person meetings with donors and internal stakeholders.
The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000. The People's Health Clinic offers a comprehensive package of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a Simple IRA retirement plan with employer contributions, paid parental leave, and generous paid time off.
The People's Health Clinic is committed to the inclusion of all qualified candidates. If you require reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, or participating in the selection process, please contact Jeanette Rivera-Watts at jeanetterw@aspenleadershipgroup.com.
