Executive Director – Teton Literacy Center

Teton Literacy Center (TLC) is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as its Executive Director, overseeing all aspects of the organization to ensure the advancement of its mission: empowering learners, supporting families, and fostering a community of lifelong literacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement a strategic plan, setting clear goals and ensuring measurable outcomes.

  • Program Excellence: Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality literacy programs that meet community needs and align with TLC’s mission.

  • Financial Stewardship: Manage the organization’s financial health, including budgeting, compliance, and reporting, while pursuing diverse funding sources to support operations and growth.

  • Fundraising: Lead the development and execution of strategic fundraising initiatives, including grant writing, major donor cultivation, and sustainable revenue generation.

  • Community and Board Engagement: Serve as the primary spokesperson for TLC, building partnerships with local organizations, schools, and stakeholders while effectively supporting board governance and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in nonprofit management, education, or a related field.

  • Strong skills in strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and team development.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to engage diverse audiences, including donors, staff, and community partners.

  • A graduate degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
