Greenlight America is the leading grassroots campaign force powering the nation’s clean energy transition at the local level. Founded in 2023, we support local organizations and volunteers working to get clean energy projects built in their communities. In the past two years we have advanced more than 25 gigawatts of clean power to the grid, approximately 13x the size of the Hoover Dam.

Position Overview
The Industry Content Senior Associate is part of Greenlight's Industry Engagement team and would be supporting the development of content, resources, and systems that strengthen how the clean energy industry engages with communities.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is excited to sit at the intersection of clean energy, community engagement, and communications — and who enjoys translating complex work into clear, useful materials that help partners act more effectively.

You’ll work closely with the Director of Industry Engagement, Industry Engagement Managers, and Communications teammates to support industry-facing content and thought leadership efforts that support our campaigns.

This position is remote and reports to the Industry Engagement Director.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Industry Content & Thought Leadership
    • Translate lessons from active campaigns into clear, practical resources for developers, including a resource roundup/library of community engagement best practices.
    • Capture and synthesize campaign wins and milestones, drawing from internal channels and team input, to develop clear, developer-facing materials (e.g., one-pagers, case studies, briefs) that help developers understand the impact and value of Greenlight’s work and effective community engagement.
    • Track and organize content ideas surfaced through the Industry Engagement and Campaigns teams, building a pipeline of external-facing resources such as one-pagers, webinars, and virtual events that translate campaign experience into practical learnings for developers
  • Systems & Process Support
    • Help maintain and improve internal systems that support industry engagement work (e.g., templates, SOPs, tracking tools, data management)
    • Support documentation of learnings from campaigns, developer conversations, and after-action reports
    • Identify and track relevant industry events, conferences, and working groups in a centralized calendar, briefing and prepping Greenlight staff to attend
    • Assist with organizing and synthesizing information for internal trainings and team-wide process reviews
  • Cross-Team Collaboration
    • Coordinate closely with the Communications team to align industry-facing messaging with broader organizational communications
    • Support preparation for industry events, webinars, and trainings
    • Help monitor performance and engagement metrics for industry content and report insights back to the team

Experience and Qualifications

  • Have 1+ years of relevant experience in communications, research, policy, advocacy, clean energy, or a related field
  • Are a strong writer and editor, with an ability to make complex topics accessible
  • Enjoy systems-building, documentation, and improving how teams work together
  • Are comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines
  • Care deeply about the clean energy transition and community engagement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a relevant field, such as clean energy, land use, public affairs, environmental advocacy, or community organizing, is a plus, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $60,000-85,000, commensurate with experience. We offer an excellent benefits package which includes 100% employer paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance, unlimited paid time off, monthly technology stipend, and retirement contributions through 401k and Roth plans.

Placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on the candidate’s years of relevant professional experience.
