The policy director provides the leadership, strategic direction, management and coordination to support and expand NNAF’s new and long-term intersectional policy agenda on abortion access and build the capacity of NNAF member abortion funds to engage in policy campaigns. As the face of NNAF in Washington, DC, the Policy Representative also works to cultivate relationships and identify policy opportunities for NNAF and our member abortion funds in collaboration with the state policy strategies manager.T he policy director creates and implements policy strategies that increase abortion access, and further NNAF’s mission, reproductive, economic, and racial justice in our callers’ everyday lives. The Policy director serves as the in-person point of contact for NNAF in Washington, DC, at coalition and congressional meetings, as well as in building inter and intra-movement organizational relationships. This is an exciting opportunity for a movement-oriented policy wonk who is committed to reproductive, racial, economic, and social justice and who wants to build out a strategic policy agenda in a growing organization. Moderate travel within the U.S. is required, primarily for staff and board meetings, staff retreats and collaboration with the programmatic work of the state strategies manager.
