Chief Financial Officer

SFI seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer with a track record of successful financial planning and management. The CFO is a new position at SFI, resulting from significant growth over the last several years. The CFO will be responsible for leading and executing the financial strategy for the organization and overseeing annual activity and compliance. The CFO will work closely with the President and CEO, Chief Operating Officer, other members of the Senior Leadership Team, the Development Director, and the PLT Canada Business Director. The CFO will oversee a small team that supports finance and business operations, including the Business Manager and the Business Operations Coordinator, and work with SFI’s outsourced accounting firm.

Grant Accountant

This role is responsible for the analysis and reconciliation of contracts and grants account expenditures in accordance with budgeted projections. Research issues, analyze data, prepare reports, make recommendations and meet with Principal Investigators from time to time. Provide accurate monthly financial reports to Principal Investigators, Staff Accountant, and Chief Financial Officer. Develop budgetary projections for review and make budgetary adjustments as needed. Responsible for primary authorization and oversight of purchasing, invoice processing and expense reimbursements for contracts and grants per budgets. Requires a broad knowledge of College policies, procedures, practices and organization as well as grant restrictions and practices.

Grant and Budget Analyst

The Policing Project seeks a Grant and Budget Analyst to maintain our various grants, assist with financial planning, work with the University’s administrative departments to meet reporting obligations, and oversee various finance and operations-related tasks. Experience working with complicated spreadsheets and multiple financial systems is required. Experience interfacing with senior level staff in an academic or government setting is preferred.
