Chief Financial Officer

The Alaska SeaLife Center (ASLC) seeks an experienced and collaborative leader to serve as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO is responsible for the overall management, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the fiscal, grants management and budgetary operations of the Alaska SeaLife Center. The CFO touches every department, ensuring clear accountability and communications throughout the organization with a focus on facilitating the ASLC’s strategic vision and maximizing financial opportunities. The CFO is also responsible for overseeing all activities related to ASLC’s fiscal agent role with the North Pacific Research Board and the Alaska Ocean Observing System.

Controller

Southwest Detroit Business Association is seeking a part-time, contractual Controller. The Controller serving SDBA is responsible for providing leadership and overall management of the organization’s financial-related activities, including accounting, budgetary, and operational and programmatic support to all agency programs and activities. The Controller will supervise and oversee all financial-related activities including budgeting, cost analysis, cost and risk management, revenue forecasting, cash-flow management and optimization, reporting, accounting, finance, banking relationships, and capital expenditure, and financial planning and operations.

Director of Finance and Operations

Position Summary:
The Director of Finance and Operations is responsible for the administration of all financial matters for the Rothko Chapel including but not limited to the operating budget and capital budget, business analytics, fiscal strategic planning and financial reporting. The Director oversees capital projects and plays a key role in asset management from both financial and operational perspectives. The Director provides leadership and direction in the development of best practices in all financial and operational areas, monitors the organization’s long-term and short-term business plans, and identifies and mitigates areas of potential risk. This position also oversees human resources, risk management, and facility operations. The Director evaluates infrastructure and operations and ensures effective and streamlined systems are in place. The Director works closely with the Executive Director, as well as the Board of Directors and serves on key board committees.

• Provide strategic vision and leadership to fulfill RIP Medical Debt’s mission while operationalizing growth.
• Actively engage in building and diversifying the organization’s funding base and lead the effort to grow revenue and donors to ensure RIP Medical Debt has the funds required to meet its ambitious debt abolishment goals.
• Serve as a credible and enthusiastic spokesperson for RIP Medical Debt, leveraging its strong brand and clearly communicating its vision and value proposition.
• Lead effective change management to support the organization’s evolution while building a cohesive culture and strong esprit de corps across a distributed team structure.
