We’re hiring a Staff Accountant to support our nonprofit clients. This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with general accounting functions.
CCSSO seeks a strategic and experienced Controller to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, and project-based financial reporting. This role will directly supervise a Senior Accountant and an Accountant. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in nonprofit finance, with at least five years in a senior financial management.
Grants Accounting Coordinator oversees the application and fiscal management for select federally assisted, corporate, and private foundation grants, ensures that invoices and reports are properly created, compiled, and submitted, and assists VTL grant writers with budget and compliance aspects of grant proposals. Includes grant management duties, including developing financial projections and ensuring spending is in compliance with budgets and with grant guidelines.
The Controller works with the Senior VP of Business Operations and Finance and is responsible for overseeing the accounting, finance, and reporting functions related to monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, and all audits within Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS).

General Purpose: Under general supervision of the Accounting Manager, this role performs a variety of accounting functions in the processing, verification, and maintenance of financial documents, records, and transactions.
